What are DRCOG Rebates?

DRCOG rebates are financial incentives created to help make clean energy and energy efficiency upgrades more accessible and affordable. These rebates are part of a $199.7 million grant awarded to DRCOG through the EPA's Climate Pollution Reduction Program in July 2024.

The program is expected to launch mid-2026 and run through Q4 2029. Denver metro homeowners will be able to apply for these rebates once the program opens.

UniColorado and DRCOG

UniColorado installs heat pumps across all 58 DRCOG member communities. We are actively tracking the Power Ahead Colorado program requirements and will register as a participating contractor when the program opens.

When DRCOG launches mid-2026, rebates will stack with existing programs. If you have Xcel gas service, you can combine DRCOG + Xcel rebates + Colorado state tax credit + HEAR (if income-qualified). We already handle paperwork for every other program in the stack.

In the meantime, our customers still have access to $7,750-$15,750+ in combined incentives from existing programs. See all available rebates.

Program Goals

By 2050, the program aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings by 70% and support over 1.6 million residents. The rebates aim to make energy-efficient upgrades more affordable, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve air quality across the region.
